Agencies were asked how much of an impact the elimination of their food bank would have on their programs. Table 14.2.1 shows the results.

Missing, don’t know, and refusal responses combined are 4.8% for pantry programs, 9.3% for kitchen programs, and 10.9% for shelter programs.
88.9% of the pantries, 77.4% of the kitchens, and 75.0% of the shelters said that the elimination of support from their food banks would have a significant or devastating impact on their operation. Details include:
- 59.6% of the pantries, 40.4% of the kitchens, and 31.1% of the shelters believed that the elimination of the food bank would have a devastating impact on their programs.
- Another 29.3% of the pantries, 37.0% of the kitchens, and 43.9% of the shelters believed that the elimination of the food bank would have a significant impact on their programs.
